英語の「where」と「which / that」の違い
where は場所を説明し、あとに 主語 + 動詞 の完全な文が続きます。which / that は節の中で主語や目的語になるので、あとの文には名詞が 1 つ欠けます。
使い分けの表

例文で比べる
○ = 自然 △ = 通じるが、その場面・文体には合わない × = 不自然・誤り

which のあとは名詞が 1 つ欠けた形です。we play soccer は完全な文なので where です。

あとに動詞が直接続くので、where でなく that か which を使います。

前置詞を最後に置けば that でも言えますが、where のほうが短く自然です。
覚え方・注意点
- where のあとは完全な文、which / that のあとは名詞が 1 つ欠けた形です。
- 場所の名詞でも、あとに動詞が直接続くなら which / that を使います。
- where は at / in / on + which と言い換えられます。
